SECOND ACTIVITY: WHO AM I?

Welcome back to LEARNENGLISHWITHIRATXE.

In this activity, 4th-grade students will work on pronunciation, English reading strategies and active listening. The activity is designed for students between 9-10 years old, but the activity can be used in other grades as a revision exercise. Students will listen to a sentence and will have 2 attempts to guess what profession it refers to. The activity contains audio created by me, which I thought could be easy for Primary School students.

    Good morning Iratxe!
    I would like to congratulate you on the interesting and useful blog you have created. Your posts are related to innovative material that could improve by a different way our student's skills.
    Especially, the reading and listening activity, it's one of the most interesting that I have read. I think it isn't the typical activity in that children could improve their skills. As teachers, it's important to introduce this type of motivating activities for our students to motivate them and improve their English.
    I would like to use all your resources in my English classes, thank you for sharing with us.

Welcome back to LEARNENGLISHWITHIRATXE. In this first activity, students will have to complete a crossword puzzle with the different foods in English. Please note that the activity is aimed at students aged 8-9 years old. Although, it can also be used in other courses to practice vocabulary. At the end of the activity, the students will be put into two groups, and they will explain why the different types of food which appear in the activity are healthy or not and why.
