FORTH ACTIVITY: A BALLOON POP WHERE WE WORK ON THE VOCABULARY OF THE ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS OF A BIRTHDAY PARTY!

Students must be very attentive in this activity to read a definition and connect it with the word. The theme is a birthday party with elements. The activity's theme is a birthday party and the elements in it. Moreover, students will have to read the definitions quickly because the word must fall right at the back of the train, otherwise, it does not add up to the score. Finally, children exercise reading speed, vocabulary, teamwork, and motivation to learn the language.

    Hi Iratxe, I love "wordwall" and I used it in my last Practicum to teach them the difference between "there is/there are" in first grade. This activity encourages a lot of motivation, above all whether it is played in pairs!

    Hello Iratxe! I really like your blog. You offer a different content, the structure and the design of your blog is awesome and it motivates to work in it. I think that you have choosen colours and bars perfectly. I also like your section of useful blog sites to learn english, it´s an interesting idea because it offers extra practice to the learners. Furthermore your activities are nive, specially this one, wordwall offers a lot of choices to practice grammar by a ludic way. Congratulations for your work! It´s outrageous!

    Hi Iratxe! Your blog is really good! I like the structure and the way you have organized the posts. Activities encourage motivation for kids as they are colorful, ludic and funny, kids will really enjoy this kind of exercises to practice vocabulary and they won't want to stop!

Welcome back to LEARNENGLISHWITHIRATXE. In this first activity, students will have to complete a crossword puzzle with the different foods in English. Please note that the activity is aimed at students aged 8-9 years old. Although, it can also be used in other courses to practice vocabulary. At the end of the activity, the students will be put into two groups, and they will explain why the different types of food which appear in the activity are healthy or not and why. SECOND ACTIVITY: WHO AM I?

Welcome back to LEARNENGLISHWITHIRATXE. In this activity, 4 th -grade students will work on pronunciation, English reading strategies and active listening. The activity is designed for students between 9-10 years old, but the activity can be used in other grades as a revision exercise. Students will listen to a sentence and will have 2 attempts to guess what profession it refers to.
